Authors are kindly invited to present papers related to the following technical areas:

  • 3D & 4D body and 3D & 4D face scanning methods, systems and technologies
  • 3D & 4D body data processing and use, 3D & 4D body processing methods and technologies
  • 3D body modeling, 3D body visualization, 3D body printing methods and technologies
  • 3D digital humans, virtual humans, avatars, metaverse
  • Active and passive 3D & 4D scanning technologies for the human body (full body, bust, face, legs, feet, etc.)
  • 4D scanning, volumetric capture and MOCAP technologies for the human body
  • Mobile, portable and hand-held human body scanning and measurement systems, devices, solutions
  • ML (machine learning) and AI (artificial intelligence) for 3D & 4D body scanning, processing and modeling
  • Full body scanning and measurement systems for the apparel and fashion sector
  • 3D virtual fitting, 3D digital fashion, 3D cloth simulation, virtual mirrors
  • Applications in medical sciences (plastic surgery, orthotics, prosthetics, forensics, dermatology, etc.)
  • Foot scanning and measurement systems for footwear, sport and orthopedics
  • Digital anthropometry, anthropometric studies, ergonomics
  • Body measurement and sizing campaigns, fitting mannequins
  • Biometrics and applications in security
  • Applications in sport, health and fitness
  • Applications in FX, games, entertainment, metaverse, virtual life
  • Applications in social sciences, and communications

Authors wishing to present their works at the conference are invited to submit their extended abstract(s) to the conference office. Extended abstract should consists of 250-500 words and images.

The extended abstracts should be sent by e-mail to the conference office until 30 April 2025.

Please provide the following information:
1. Author(s) (please underline correspondent author)
2. Affiliation, full address and e-mails for correspondence
3. Title of paper/abstract/presentation
4. Keywords
5. Abstract text (250-500 words) and images
6. Request for inclusion in 3DBODY.TECH Journal

Important notes

All reviewd papers, accepted abstracts and presentations will be published in the proceedings and will be available on the 3DBODY.TECH Proceedings website.
A full paper has to be submitted in order to have the work published in 3DBODY.TECH Journal.
At least one of the authors has to register, attend and present the work personally onsite at the conference (online remote presentations will not be possible).
Please plan to attend the whole 2-days conference, as changes in the program (e.g. assigned session, scheduled time/day) are possible until few days before the conference.
Reduced registration fees are available for presenters/speakers: registration.

Acceptance and review process, conference proceedings (ISBN), journal (ISSN), DOIs, online papers & presentations

The submitted extended abstracts are evaluated and reviewed for acceptance.

The works presented at the conference are differentiated into four groups: reviewed full papers, accepted abstracts/papers (with or without paper, not reviewed), invited talks (with or without abstract/paper), technical presentations (with or without abstract/paper).

Authors of accepted abstracts, wishing to have their works published in the 3DBODY.TECH Journal, should submit full papers following the given guidelines.

All submitted technical/scientific papers are reviewed by at least two members of the technical/scientific committee.

Upon request, full papers can also be submitted for the solely publication on the proceedings, without the full review process.

All accepted papers, abstracts, presentations must be presented onsite personally by one of the authors (online remote presentations is not possible). Reduced registration fees are available for presenters/speakers: registration.

All works presented at 3DBODY.TECH Conference & Expo - all submitted and reviewed papers, all accepted abstracts/papers and all presentations - will be included in the 3DBODY.TECH Proceedings with ISBN number (available in digital form).

The papers, abstracts and recorded presentations will also be available at the 3DBODY.TECH Proceedings website proc.3dbody.tech, which features over 900 pages, over 750 PDFs, about 400 videos/recordings (from 2020) and a dedicated search tool.

All reviewed papers, will be additionally published as journal papers, with DOI, in 3DBODY.TECH Journal - Journal of 3D Body Technologies, ISSN 3042-576X, Open Access, Online. Further details are available at the journal website jrnl.3dbody.tech.

Guidelines for full paper/manuscript preparation and submission

All full papers and written submissions for inclusion in 3DBODY.TECH Proceedings and 3DBODY.TECH Journal must follow the guidelines provided by the template document:

Please submit the full paper as MS-Word document to the conference office, before 31 August 2025, by e-mail to info@3dbody.tech or by file sharing system WeTransfer 3dbodytech.wetransfer.com.

Registration required

All accepted abstracts/papers/presentations have to be presented personally onsite by one of the authors (online remote presentations will not be possible). Please plan to attend the whole 2-days conference, as changes in the program are possible until few days before the conference.

Audio/video consent and release form

Presentations at the conference will be streamed, recorded and stored.
Presenters/speakers have therefore to submit a signed consent and release form.
The consent form will be provided later.

Guidelines for oral and poster presentations

It is required that at least one of the authors registers and presents the work personally onsite at the conference.

All technical/scientific presentation will be held by onsite speakers during technical sessions in conference rooms at the convention center, live streamed on the event platform/app and recorded for later view.

Each presentation will be followed with a discussion with the audience. Both onsite and online participants will be able to see live the presentations and participate at the discussions.

Online remote presentations will not be possible.

Oral presentations

Oral presentation should be approx. 18 minutes long. This will allow additional 4 minutes for questions and discussion with the audience. Note: less or additional time may be available depending on the session.

Please ensure you arrive before the start of the session in which you are presenting and introduce yourself to the chair of the session. Note: chairmen will be listed in the final program.

No specific template is defined for the presentations. Presenters can freely design and setup them according to his/her style.

Windows Laptops with MS Powerpoint will be available in the conference rooms. Please bring backups of your presentation on USB flash drive. The speakers may also bring and use their own laptop to avoid compatibility problems (e.g. different versions of Powerpoint, linked files, videos, etc.).

LCD projectors in the conference rooms have HDMI connection and 16:9 display mode.

Important note for laptops and tablets: please bring the necessary adapters in order to connect your device with projectors featuring HDMI plug.

Please note that electricity in Switzerland operates on 220-240 Volts AC 50HZ and that Swiss 3-poles electric plugs are different from European-style plugs (European 2-poles electric plugs are compatible). Please bring with you the necessary adapters.

Poster presentations

Posters will be mounted on free-standing poster boards with push pins. All posters will have a net usable space of 90cm (36") wide x 120cm (48") high.

No specific template is defined for the posters. Presenters can freely design and setup it according to his/her style.

Authors should mount their posters on the assigned poster board, in the designated room. Posters may be mounted starting from 8:00 am on the assigned poster session day.

At least one author is required to be present at the poster during the poster session and be available for discussion.

Presentations at the conference will be streamed, recorded and stored.
Presenters/speakers have therefore to submit a signed consent and release form.
The consent form will be provided later.
