Please note that registration is required for all attendees/participants/delegates and speakers/authors at 3DBODY.TECH 2026. Participation is possible in-person onsite or remotely online. Technical program
The program of the conference will be structured, during two full days, in an opening session, 14 technical sessions in dual track, a plenary keynotes session and 6 exhibitors live demonstrations sessions, accommodating in total over 80 technical and scientific presentations and demonstrations, grouped according to various topics and application areas
The parallel technical exhibition will allow manufacturers, developers, institutions to demonstrate live 3D/4D body scanning systems, software solutions and applications to onsite and online attendees/participants: expo.
In a third track on the event platform/app, exhibitors will host live streams sessions from the technical exhibition, allowing to discuss and demonstrate live 3D/4D body scanning systems, software solutions and applications to online participants.
Breaks between the technical sessions and social events are planned in order to increase the possibilities for building relationships and exchanging ideas between attendees, speakers, authors and exhibitors. Coffee breaks take place in the morning and afternoon, lunch boxes will be distributed to all attendees during lunch breaks and a rich welcome cocktail will be offered after the last session of the first day of the conference.

Why Google Developed a Parametric 3D Human Model and Open-Sourced It
Dr. Thabo BEELER, Research Director Google XR, Google, Switzerland
In this keynote, Dr. Beeler will present Google's vision to build a modular open digital human ecosystem.
"I will introduce our Generative aNthropometric Model (GNM), explain how we developed it, what we are using it for within Google, why we decided to open-source the model, and where we see things going from here."
Dr. Thabo Beeler is currently a Research Director at Google, where he is heading the Syntec team within Android XR. They work on digital humans in the context of virtual and augmented reality, focusing on capture, reconstruction, appearance acquisition, generative modeling, and synthesis.
Prior to that, Dr. Beeler was a research scientist at Disney Research | Studios where he built up the Capture and Effects group, focusing on digital humans for film.
Invited Talk:
Fuxi: From 3D Body Scanning to Personalised Simulation of Posture and Body Shape

Posture, spine-related features and body composition are commonly assessed in health, fitness and rehabilitation settings. However, the results are often shown as numbers and scores. Fuxi turns these results into a personalised 3D body model, combining a 3D body scan with body composition data.
This talk presents one complete posture case, starting with the measured 3D geometry and showing how Fuxi builds the body model, presents the posture findings and explains their limits. It also shows how posture and spine-related features can be represented in the same model. Furthermore, Fuxi can also simulate controlled changes in body shape, skeletal alignment, muscle shape and fat distribution.

Likeness at Scale: How EA Overcomes the Challenges of Capturing Talent Authenticity for AAA Games

The talk highlights how EA Sports efficiently creates thousands of hyperrealistic digital double assets every year to meet demanding annual game release schedules. By deploying custom, portable photogrammetry rigs, field teams rapidly, capture player likenesses across global leagues with minimal time per athlete. An automated processing pipeline then converts raw scan data into engine-ready game assets, drastically reducing manual artist workload while driving photorealistic visual quality.

CAMERA in Motion: How We Capture Movement from Lab to the Field

CAMERA, (The Centre for the Analysis of Motion, Entertainment Research and Applications), is a multi-modal capture facility at the University of Bath, England, dedicated to pushing the boundaries of motion capture.
"With a one-of-a-kind capture studio powered by 36 Vicon Valkyrie cameras, 48 machine vision cameras, multiple scanning rigs and a virtual production stage, we specialise in recording and analysing complex human movement.
In this talk, we will discuss our past challenging and diverse motion capture projects, scanning acquisitions and experiences in elite sport."

4D Gaussian Splatting
Add-on Workshop on 4D Gaussian Splatting: End-to-end Pipeline from 4D Capture, through Data Processing, to Virtual Production and Final Visualization/Publication.

Description:
This hands-on workshop will explore the full pipeline including 4D spacial capture, 3D/4D Gaussian Splatting, data processing, extending and finishing scans with generative AI, assembling in Unreal Engine, delivering the final scene and building interactive experiences for the web.
The full pipeline will be presented and walked through step-by-step: the capture files, processing steps, engine scenes, and final output. Sufficient time will be available for questions from the participants at every stage.
Different tools used by the industry will be taught during the workshop: scan & capture, process & genAI, assemble & VFX, deliver & production.

Digital Manufacturing in Orthopedics
Add-on Workshop on Digital Manufacturing in Orthopedics: How to move from plaster casts and manual modeling to an equivalent digital workflow, all the way from 3D scanning to functional design and manufacturing using 3D printing.

Description:
A traditional plaster cast is not simply a copy of the patient's unloaded skin surface. While the plaster is setting, the orthopedic technician applies professional judgment for positioning, compressing, and correcting directly on the patient. The workshop will demonstrate live how to transfer this professional judgment into a transparent and reproducible digital workflow with the help of TOplus scanning frames.
Mr. Matyssek uses TOplus systems in daily orthotics and prosthetics practice. He knows the practical requirements as well as the variations that can occur with individually produced plaster casts. Mr. Köster will contribute with experience in digital modeling and process development.
The lecturers will teach and demonstrate the complete workflow: alignment, positioning & correction; 3D scanning; 3D data preparation; 3D digital modeling; and functional manufacturing.
The workshop is intended for orthotics and prosthetics professionals, but also for researchers, developers and educators who want to learn and understand how digital body data is transformed into functional, patient-specific products.
