April 6, 2021 - SILVER exhibitor & sponsor
The IEEE Standards Association (USA) will participate at the onsite conference's exhibition.
The IEEE Standards Association Industry Connections program brings together focused interest groups to address standards related considerations in emerging technology areas. The Industry Connections 3D Body Processing group brings together an ecosystem of players to co-develop an assessment of standards needs and to propose new standard(s) around enabling 3D body processing which includes the capture, processing, storage, sharing and (augmented) representation for "Of-the-body" and "On-the-body" technologies. This exploration includes identification and classification of types and uses cases for 3D body processing; identification of gaps in existing nascent standards and recommended practices as 3D body processing spreads beyond first adopters; identifying needs and develop proposals for new standards and best practices for 3D body processing and adjacent technologies (like 2D augmented reality); identifying guides and recommendations for consuming or using body measurements, to better understand the benefits and limitations of this type of data.
March 17, 2021 - VIRTUAL exhibitor & sponsor
Thor 3D (Germany/Russia) will participate at the online conference's exhibition.
Thor 3D is the manufacturer of hand-held 3D scanners based out of Moscow, Russia and Dusseldorf, Germany. The company’s products are distinct for their ability to digitize historically difficult-to-capture objects such as black and glossy items, as well as sharp edges.
The company has two scanners in its portfolio: Calibry 3D scanner meant for medium objects (from 20cm to 10m in length); Calibry Mini 3D scanner meant for small objects (from 2 cm to 30 cm in length).
Both scanners are lightweight, affordable and easy to use. The company also offers a range of bundles for specialists in reverse engineering, design and quality control.
