3DBODY.TECH Conference & Expo provides a platform of eminent professionals, entrepreneurs, academicians and researchers across the globe to present, learn and discuss the latest in 3D/4D human body scanning, body data and body processing technologies. The multidisciplinary character of 3DBODY.TECH makes it unique and not comparable to any other meeting related to 3D/4D body technologies.

The program of the conference is structured, during two full days, in an opening session, 13 technical sessions in dual track, a plenary panel discussion and 6 exhibitors live demonstrations sessions, accommodating in total over 70 scientific and technical presentations and demonstrations, grouped according to various topics and application areas. 3DBODY.TECH 2025 - The 16th International Conference and Expo on 3D/4D Body Scanning, Data and Processing Technologies was successfully closed in Lugano on the evening of 22nd October 2025.

About 190 participants from over 25 different countries attended the two days conference and expo, about 20% of them attended online. The list of participants is available at: Attendees.

The program of the conference was structured, during two full days, in 1 opening session, 14 technical sessions in dual track and 16 live demonstrations sessions, accommodating in total over 80 technical and scientific presentations, grouped according to various topics and application areas. The parallel technical exhibition allowed manufacturers, solution providers and institutions to demonstrate live 3D/4D body scanning systems, software solutions and applications to onsite and online attendees/visitors/participants. The list of exhibitors is available at: Expo.

3DBODY.TECH Conference & Expo confirmed also this year to be the most important international event focused on 3D & 4D body scanning & processing technologies.

The proceedings of the conference are available for purchase in digital form. The proceedings, organized as a website, provide details of the technical sessions, and give access to all abstracts, to all published papers (as single PDF documents), to all recorded presentation videos and to all recorded sessions (opening session, technical sessions, exhibitors' live demonstrations, panel). 3DBODY.TECH 2026 - The 17th International Conference and Expo on 3D/4D Body Technologies, will take place on 20-21 October 2026, in Lugano, Switzerland. 3DBODY.TECH 2026

3DBODY.TECH 2026 will be held as a full in-person event with conference & expo taking place onsite in Lugano, with all speakers and the large majority of attendees onsite (80%). Online participation will be available for remote attendees (20%). All contents of the conference will be live streamed and recorded for later view.

Our goals/expectations for 2026 are:

  • 200+ onsite & 50 online participants
  • 80+ onsite presentations (no online presentations)
  • 25+ onsite exhibitors

Conference director's message

The past 15 international conferences from 2010 to 2024 were largely attended by participants from different countries, different technical fields and different industries. The rich technical programs of all past events included wide varieties of works related to applications, developments and research on 3D & 4D body scanning, data and processing technologies from all over the world. The conferences were accompanied by parallel exhibitions featuring live demonstrations of 3D & 4D body scanning equipment and software solutions. Various manufacturers have chosen our events for presenting and announcing international premieres and for launching new products.

The good success of the 15th edition of 3DBODY.TECH Conference & Expo of 2024, with 200 attendees (20% online), over 80 presentations and 20 onsite exhibitors was achieved even by the particular post-COVID situation. Our hybrid approach (onsite+online) allowed international participants to attend personally onsite and/or remotely online the 2-days conference and expo. Very appreciated was the increased flexibility offered by the hybrid format of the event also for onsite participants.

This year, with the 16th edition, 3DBODY.TECH Conference & Expo will continue its role as the world leading technical and scientific event dedicated to 3D/4D human body scanning, data and processing technologies.

Two major novelties will mark 3DBODY.TECH 2025: (1) the introduction of a review process for technical/scientific papers submitted and presented at 3DBODY.TECH Conference & Expo, and their publication as journal papers on 3DBODY.TECH Journal; (2) the return to a full in-person format with all speakers presenting onsite (100%) and with the large majority of attendees participating onsite (80%).

At 3DBODY.TECH 2025 we will make treasure of the experience gained in the past 5 years by keeping the main advantages offered by the hybrid format (onsite+online) and by applying them on the full in-person event format, namely: (1) the increased and simplified networking opportunities offered by the event platform/app, and (2) the flexibility offered by live streaming and recording the entire contents of the conference and live demonstrations from exhibitors.

The 3DBODY.TECH event platform/app will ensure and allow: online participation for remote attendees, networking functionalities for all participants, view of all live streams from Lugano and on-demand view of all recorded contents (available within 1-2 hours after the live sessions). All recordings will also be made available in the 3DBODY.TECH proceedings.
